RM5,000 donation each to six charitable bodies in Beluran

Norlidah accompained by Juliah preseting RM5,000 to charitable bodies in Beluran.

BELURAN: Six charitable organisations here received a donation of RM5,000 each from Head of State’s wife Toh Puan Norlidah R. M. Jasni, in conjunction with the State-level Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration at the Beluran Multipurpose Hall. 

The organisations are Pertubuhan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PPDK), Pertubuhan Warga Emas Labuk dan Sugut (Pawe), Pasukan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak (PKKK), Pasukan Pelindung Kanak-kanak (PPKK), Pertubuhan Sukarelawan dan Kebajikan (SJKM) and the Penasihat Mahkamah Kanak-Kanak (PMKK).

Norlidah was accompanied by the Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Juliah Salag, and the State Secretary’s wife, Datin Seri Dr Nuinda Alias, who is also Sabah Puspanita Chairperson. Norlidah and Juliah also gave consolations and donations to a total of 70 children at the event.

Present were State Rural Development Assistant Minister Samad Jamri, Telupid Assemblyman Jonnybone J Kurum, Community Development and People’s Welfare Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Datuk Lee Chun Khiong, State General Welfare Services Department Director Jais Asri and Beluran District Officer Roger Appolonius. 

Earlier, Norlidah and Juliah visited homes for the disabled at Taman Sungai Labuk and spent time with special needs children at SK Kebangsaan Pekan Beluran Special Education Integration Class Programme. Joining Juliah’s entourage are Mutiara GRS Vice President I Datin Seri Cecilia Edwin Kitingan, Vice President II Datin Linda Ewin, Vice President III cum Mutiara GRS Honorary Secretary Datin Dg Siti Noor Hayyat Ag Mohd Saufi and Mutiara GRS House Bureau Chairperson Datin Noriah Pg Ahmad.

Juliah, who is also Mutiara GRS President, attended a Malam Mesra “Kelibat Anggun Kelihatan” reception at the Amadeus Sabah Hotel, on Wednesday. 

She also presented donations from Mutiara GRS of RM1,000 each to the Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya Sandakan and the Rumah Warga Tua Sri Harapan Sandakan.

Meanwhile, Sabah Puspanita Charity Fund also donated RM500 to the Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya Sandakan and the Rumah Warga Tua Sri Harapan Sandakan.
