KOTA KINABALU: The State Government will take into consideration the proposed research on a new Sabah Economic Model by the Sabah Economic Advisory Council (SEAC) in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Institute for Development Studies (Sabah).
“We are open to the proposal to help the State economic grow better,” said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor after being briefed on the proposal at Menara Kinabalu here on Thursday.
He also urged the SEAC to conduct thorough research through engagement with all the state ministries and stakeholders.
At the briefing were State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Sr Safar Untong, SEAC members led by Chairman Tan Sri David Chu, UMS Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Kasim Hj. Mansor and IDS Chief Executive Officer Professor Datuk Dr Ramzah Dambul as well as senior officials from the State Economic Planning Unit.
