The dark side of Sabah politics

This dark side of Sabah politics driven by disgruntled politicians is the source of disunity and setbacks in our state all this while. The protracted winter of political discontent needs to end! - Original Sabahan

The recent posting by Mawar Channel Facebook page of a tongue in cheek congratulatory message to Musa Aman on his appointment as the next Sabah TYT is not only fake but sinister in intent. It is to tarnish the image of Musa Aman, denying his service and contributions to Sabah. Clearly it is driven by relentless vengeance and a crafted plan to clear a path for a power grab by those who are politically discontented. Sabahans are not fools. It is as clear as daylight the dirty tactic is the work of those who thrive on the dark side of Sabah politics.

Mawar Channel is a  propaganda page meant to spread lies and disinformation on its political enemies

In any case what is wrong if Musa Aman was to be appointed as the next TYT? His years of service and contribution to the state cannot be denied. The years when he was in office was a time when Sabah was economically vibrant. Mega development projects such as Pan Borneo, Palm Oil Industrial Clusters, Sabah Oil & Gas Terminal, Sabah International Convention Centre, expansion of Kota Kinabalu International airport & Menara Kinabalu all happened under his watch.

These projects didn’t happened by themselves or fell from the sky. It was the product of Musa Aman’s efforts and him maintaining good state federal relationships at that time. Those after him are recipients of these projects which have created economic spinoffs, employment opportunities and improve the welfare of the people.

His detractors are using keyboards warriors to nullify his contributions by drumming up unfounded allegations of corruption and abuse of power. Are the fingers pointing clean? Have they really contributed anything and found real solutions to problems confronting the state?

This dark side of Sabah politics driven by disgruntled politicians is the source of disunity and setbacks in our state all this while. The protracted winter of political discontent needs to end!
